The UK Inertial Fusion Consortium (UKIFC) has been established to foster collaboration, coordination and establish a collective voice within UK Inertial Fusion research.

Inertial fusion has the potential to provide a near-limitless source of clean energy while driving innovation across advanced manufacturing, materials, and computing. As global momentum accelerates, the UK has a unique opportunity to lead. The UK Inertial Fusion Consortium is ensuring the UK is at the forefront by coordinating expertise, building capability, and positioning the nation as a key player in the future fusion economy.​
